We had an amazing day at the beach. The sun was out and the sea was warm. The children started the day with a sports day on the Green before heading down to the beach, exploring the rock pools, digging in the sand and some even bathed in the sea. After lunch we had lots of activities to extend the day, collage making with shells, seaweed and stones collected from the beach and a treasure hunt for beach themed pictures through the cool shade of the trees. This week extending the children's interest in their vets roleplay area we had two special visitors for them. Biscuit and Hazel the Guinea Pigs. Our fury friends were very popular. The children learnt all about them from their owner and they each stroked, fed and held them. ... See MoreSee Less

We have been very fortunate to have one of our lovely parents come in and share a story and talk to the children about Ramadan. The children were very lucky to all take home and try a small bag of chocolate covered dates that had all been homemade for them.
Today the family kindly brought in a chocolate cake to share and celebrate Eid with everyone and we heard all about their special day celebrating with family, eating lots of fine foods, exchanging gifts and wearing their beautiful clothes.
